Marion Laundromat is proud to have been serving Marion, Cedar Rapids, and surrounding Iowa towns since 2000. We are a self-service laundry center, conveniently located on the main strip, just a few blocks from Thomas Park, across the street from Wells Fargo Bank.
We have over sixty top quality washers and dryers, R&B laundry carts, and plenty of seating and folding tables to make doing laundry a breeze. Soft Water for Cleaner, Longer Lasting Clothes
At Marion Laundromat, all
of the water that runs through our washers is first filtered through
our top quality, commercial size, water softener removing calcium,
magnesium, and other metal cations in hard water. There are many
advantages to washing with soft water as opposed to hard water.
First, fabrics that are washed in soft water last longer and whites come out brighter. In addition, since soft water is more compatible with soap, about half as much detergent is needed. Using less detergent not only saves money, but it is also helpful to people who are sensitive to the chemicals in detergents and would like to use less while still having bright, clean clothes. Lastly, unlike hard water, where using hot or warm water is necessary in order to effectively wash away mineral deposits and residue, with soft water, delicate clothes can be washed in cold water and still come out bright and clean without having to endure high temperatures. For your large laundry loads, we have twelve large washers.
We have eight Maxi Load washers that can wash 40 lbs (4 loads) of laundry in only 23 minutes. They are currently priced at $5.50. We also have four Mega Load washers that have a 60lb. (6 loads) capacity and are perfect for your largest blankets or several lighter blankets. If you get hungry while doing laundry, we have onsite snack and soda machines. We are also next door to Villa's Patio, one of the top Mexican Restaurants in the area, home to delicious Quesadillas, Nachos, Fajitas, and Tacos.
